Hot on the heels of our pioneering use of low GWP refrigerants, the latest additions to the Mighty Cool range represent the next stage in the environmental evolution of portable air conditioning. Traditional synthetic refrigerants are not only greenhouse gasses thousands of times more potent than CO2, but once in the atmosphere they’re almost impossible to breakdown, which is why they’ve become known as ‘forever chemicals’. As a completely natural refrigerant R290 promises all the cooling performance required but without the toxic legacy of forever chemicals. Not only that, R290 also has a greater coefficient of performance, meaning better energy efficiency and lower running costs, as well as a GWP (Global Warming Potential) of just 3, compared to R410a’s GWP of 2033, and an ozone depletion rate of 0. And what’s more; with up to 4kW of cooling delivered at up to 800 m3/hr there is absolutely no compromise in performance. Both the MCe3.0 and MCe4.0 are true spot coolers that can be used to help make working environments more comfortable on hot, stuffy days. Featuring a steel body, locking castors and quiet operation these versatile units can be used anywhere from the plant room to reception, from shops to server rooms and factories to events. More than just a spot cooler! The MCe3.0 and MCe4.0 also boast multifunction versatility. By using the mode button on the controller the user can switch between functions: Room Cooling - Cool and maintain the temperature of a room. Simply set the thermostat to your desired temperature and let the unit maintain it. Spot Cooler - Got a machine or server that needs a blast of cold air? Use the directional ducting to deliver cool air straight to where it’s needed. The MCe4.0 has two cold air discharge hoses so a single unit can be used to cool two area’s. Fan Only - If the temperature’s fine but the room’s a little stuffy simply use the fan only mode to improve air circulation. The fan speed can be adjusted to suit using the electronic controller, while the refrigeration system remains inactive greatly reducing energy usage. Dehumidifier - By reducing the evaporator fan speed to a minimum, the unit can be used to maximise moisture removal from the air. This dehumidification effect can help reduce condensation and damp in an Environment.
