In winter HVLS fans are used for thermal destratification totake in the warm air under the ceiling and transport it to the floor level in a slow movingair flow pattern tocreate a better working environment and greatly reduce total energy consumption. In summer the fan speed can be increased and the uniform air movement provides perceived cooling for the building occupants. HVLS fans from Evel have low speed brushless motors with integrated inverter allowing for stepless speed control. With direct drive motors and no gearbox Evel HVLS fans are the smoothest and quietest HVLS fans in the market place. Another application is that of Livestock welfare and has been shown to increase production at the same time as improving animal welfare.
