Selective Processing

For bespoke, precision components, there’s often a need to combine more than one treatment in order to achieve exacting performance requirements. For example, hard anodising for corrosion protection along with chromated areas to allow electrical conductivity for earthing. Selective Processing is a particular expertise of ours. We use various specialised Selective Processing techniques that we have developed and tested ourselves, sometimes drawing on practices from other industries. The principle of selective processing is to mask certain areas while the rest of the component is treated. We then reverse the process to apply the second and any subsequent treatments. Purpose-made hard masks, chemically resistant paint, high temperature waxes, specialist tape and plugs or bungs. Customers describe our masking accuracy as second to none.
