Hard Anodising
Hard anodising uses the standard anodising process but in a more concentrated and colder tank. Hard anodising means the micropores created in the anodic layer are smaller and more densely packed, giving a harder finish, approximately 450-500HV (with wear resistance similar to tool steel). Hard anodising has greater corrosion and electrical resistance but is less decorative. Hard anodised products generally perform best when left unsealed so we will only seal them if you request it specifically or if they have been dyed.
