The Industrial sector captures a wide range of companies from sub-sectors including Manufacturing, Construction, Mining, Process Control and Safety Systems. The range of products supplied is equally varied too and is very much dependant on the application itself or the environment in which it operates. Relatively simple open wiring looms tend to be used for internal machinery or control panels whereas rugged fully sealed and potted cable assemblies could be required for the mining or construction industries. An appropriate IP (Ingress Protection) Rating is often specified. Control Panels and Control Boxes are often supplied to this sector. The panel or box which could be either metal or plastic is generally supplied to the customer as a completed unit and would typically contain an assembly of wiring looms and PCBs often with a variety of other electrical components such as switches, bulbs, LEDs, circuit breakers etc.
