Plastic Spile 58mm

This hard spile is made from plastic, and is 58mm in diameter. Essential in serving beers and real ales of all kinds, the hard spile is used after the initial venting of the cask is finished, during the fining process. The spile is also used to seal the shive of a cask after it has been used. (The spile must be removed or loosened prior to serving.)

We also stock a selection of soft spiles, and other cellar equipment, as well as a mallet, which is designed to drive the spile into place.
