METCASE Launches Unsealed UNIDESK Terminal Enclosures

OKW’s metal enclosures division METCASE has launched an unsealed version of its UNIDESK sloping front terminal enclosures following customer demand. UNIDESK aluminium instrument enclosures are designed for desktop use but can also be wall mounted. Applications include office systems, point of sale terminals, industrial control, medical devices, security and machine controllers. They are normally supplied with IP54 sealing gaskets but specifying the new version without seals makes them more cost effective - if sealing is not required. These robust and ergonomic cases are supplied pre-assembled. Features include a recessed front panel for a membrane keypad, pre-punched PCB fixing points in the base plus a flat rear wall for installing switches, connectors, power inlets and cable glands. UNIDESK is available in three sizes – 200 mm x 200 mm x 102 mm; 300 mm x 200 mm x 102 mm; 400 mm x 200 mm x 102 mm – and two standard colours: Light Grey (RAL 7035) and Black (RAL 9005). Prices for the new models start at £78. Accessories include a front panel kit, wall mounting kit and PCB pillars and screws. METCASE can supply UNIDESK fully customised. Services offered include bespoke widths; internal mounting plates and brackets; CNC milling, drilling and punching; painting and anodising plus digital, silk-screen or tampo printing of legends and logos.
