Accurate Measurements are Key to Making Precision Parts

It is not useful to make something if it cannot then be measured accurately. At LML we invest hugely in ensuring that everything we make is measured with the required precision, and in different ways too, to ensure that we can fully demonstrate the dimensions and quality of the parts we make.

With every job, no matter how small, our customers receive a report on the parts supplied. This report contains pictures and measurements of the parts supplied, with data taken from our wide range of metrology equipment. We believe it is vital that not only do we openly demonstrate what we have made, but also that a record exists for LML and our customers of everything that is produced.

Each customer’s requirements are different and LML will supply the metrology data in whatever format that is required in each case – this can be a range of things like QC data in a spreadsheet, microscope-generated documents showing measurements of specific dimensions, 2D and 3D views of the parts, SEM images, and other data as agreed.All metrology equipment at LML is calibrated, some to international standards. We don’t ask you to believe that we have made something to design, we supply evidence of compliance with every order; it’s all part of the high-precision, high-quality that you receive from LML.
