EDUCATION: Ercall Wood Technical College

This project has been delivered by Shepherd Construction as part of the Telford BSF programme that escaped the worst of the cuts and continues, but in a cost effective format. We were originally specified by Colour Urban Landscape Architects and worked with them and the contractor to supply a range of street furniture. The emphasis being on cost certainty and hard wearing durable products. The courtyard shelter is functional and durable, and importantly provided at a sensible cost. All other elements of the street furniture package, such as benches, concrete cylinders, timber cubes and picnic tables are free standing to give the college a flexible approach to furniture provision. It also meant that Shepherd could take delivery of the items and place them once the landscaping aspects were complete.
