Kingly Partners with the well:fair Foundation to Support Clean Water Access in East Africa
At Kingly, sustainability is more than a manufacturing model—it’s a promise to use our platform, products, and partnerships to drive meaningful, measurable change. That’s why we’re proud to announce our latest collaboration with the well:fair foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing access to clean drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania.
The well:fair foundation, formerly known as the Neven Subotic Foundation, has been delivering long-term solutions in some of the world’s most underserved communities since 2012. Their mission aligns seamlessly with ours: to empower people through access, dignity, and sustainable development.
To support their extraordinary work, we’ve donated 100 custom-designed pairs of socks, produced in our award-winning facility. Each pair is crafted with care, representing Kingly’s commitment to circularity, ethical sourcing, and reducing environmental impact at every level of production.
Kingly’s ethos has always been rooted in actionable sustainability. From Cradle-to-Gate traceability and production that repurposes textile offcuts to global charitable initiatives, we believe every decision and every product should serve a greater purpose. That’s why this collaboration is so close to our hearts: it embodies everything we stand for.
The statistics driving well:fair’s mission are both staggering and deeply unjust:
771 million people globally lack access to basic drinking water;
Every fifth person lives without access to basic sanitation;
700 children die daily from diseases caused by contaminated water and poor hygiene;
Women and children often walk 6 km every day, carrying 20 kg of water, sacrificing time, energy, and education.
This is a human rights crisis. It is especially life-threatening for children, who are most affected by the lack of safe and accessible water.
Together with well:fair, we are not just raising awareness—we are making a statement. That ethical business must go hand in hand with compassion. Sustainability must extend beyond the product to the people. And that access to clean water is not a privilege, but a universal right.
Because sustainability without purpose is incomplete. And at Kingly, purpose is always stitched in.
