Glazing Refurbishment’s Northern based Large Works division have completed the phased overhaul package to the large glass roof/atrium at one of Scotland’s Premier Shopping Centre Destinations. To avoid major disruption to the shopping centre tenants and the general public, our team worked out of normal working hours and despite poor weather at times, was still able to complete the works to schedule. Phase one of works commenced with our team installing safety netting to the atrium, before working on the inside and outside face of the glazed atrium. Specialist high level access operatives were utilised to safely replace the existing defective glazing located above the central Mall. Using a combination of MEWPs internally and roof top rope access to successfully replace a vast number of glazed units across the site. As the works progressed, our client reported they were able to remove buckets from ground level as the water ingress issues were becoming resolved.
