Vyper is an intelligent vision system designed to enhance quality control processes in high-care food production environments. It uses cameras and image capture technology to automate label inspection, including pattern matching, barcode reading and optical character recognition that may otherwise be vulnerable to human error. It can dramatically reduce waste by detecting process flaws early in the production process.

Its key advantage is realised when combined with other inspection technologies (metal detection and checkweighing), creating a single, robust inspection system that maximises line efficiency, ensures product integrity, and strengthens compliance.

Vyper identifies label presence and placement and is programmed to detect date and price coding errors, pot and lid mismatches, and promotional labels. This addresses common challenges such as labelling issues, packaging or arrangement problems and product rejects and recalls. Vyper identifies errors early in the production process which reduces recalls and associated costs as well as improving compliance.

Beyond inspection, Vyper provides feedback to upstream and downstream equipment for accurate line control, with fully auditable reject integrity measures as standard. It features a hygienic, food-grade design compliant with HACCP, with sloped surfaces for water run-off, fast drying, and easy access for cleaning.
