According to the COSHH regulations Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) is the preferred and first line of defence in controlling airborne hazards created during many industrial processes. However finding a self supporting arm to “fit in” with each and every application has always been difficult, until now that is. The longer reach arms, such as the “R type” are available from 75mm diameter, right up to 200mm diameter. Smaller diameters are ideal for spot processes and emissions, where a smaller air volume but at a high transport velocity means savings can be made in fan and filter sizing. Larger arms are ideal for dust applications such as decanting, rip-and-tip, and drumming. Arms are available in a variety of materials, such as stainless steel, or in white powder coating for lab or clean room use. The Tex and Mini-Tex arms provide telescopic functionality and are designed with a non restricted straight through airflow. This results in an arm with an incredibly low-pressure drop enabling it to be easily included in existing central system.
