The last piece in the puzzle for manufacturing capability here at Duncan-Lynch Precision Engineering
Eurospark Ltd has supplied the final piece in the manufacturing capability puzzle for Duncan-Lynch Precision Engineering, with the installation of a new Kmway Wire EDM machine delivering immediate benefits across production.
The investment has enabled Duncan-Lynch Precision Engineering to bring previously outsourced work in-house, significantly improving lead times on complex components for the oil and gas sector. According to Andrew Lynch, the addition of the Wire EDM machine has strengthened the company's ability to provide customers with a faster and more responsive service.
The new capability is also delivering cost savings and greater manufacturing flexibility. When machining difficult materials such as Inconel, the business is reducing carbide tooling costs by transferring more features onto the Wire EDM machine that were previously produced through milling operations.
The investment highlights how advanced wire erosion technology can help manufacturers increase efficiency, reduce reliance on subcontracting and enhance their competitiveness in demanding sectors such as oil and gas.
