Flexible Heating Hoses

Elmatic ( Cardiff ) Ltd are the largest manufacturer of Flexable Heating Hose, manufacturing a large range of heaters for all industries. Used for maintaining temperature during transport of adhesives, oils, chocolate, gas, emulsions as well as alimentary, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. Design Consists of smooth PTFE tube sheathed with stainless steel, insulated by silicon foam (200°C) union with stainless steel free nut ( BSP with cone 60°), temperature control by PT100 or thermocouple type J or K centered on the heating hose. Elmatic Heated Hoses will heat electrically any type of flexible hose, either single hoses or multiple hoses bunched together. We can also heat hoses supplied by customers, or advise on suitable alternatives. We try therefore not to describe any particular construction as a standard heated hose, but offer a range of variations, to suit each application. All heated hoses must be connected to a suitable temperature controller otherwise damage will occur. Temperature controllers for all types or applications can be specified and supplied, either with the heated hoses, or separately. Heated Hoses Custom Design LENGTH To customers specification. (if longer than 17m this can be connected internally) END FITTINGS Swaged fittings, to most pipe thread systems, are in a range of materials. BORE SIZE Sizes to suit customer's specifications can be supplied. Standard 1/8”, 3/8”, 1/2”, 3/4”, 1”, 1.1/8” TEMPERATURE To customers specification.(max. around 330 ° C at 100 bar) PRESSURE To customers specification.(Max. around 350 bar at 135 ºC) TEMPERATURE SENSOR PT 100 and thermocouple types of sensor can be supplied. Other types may be available, by prior consultation. HEATER The heating element is insulated with a layer of silicone rubber for moisture protection. Standard THERMAL INSULATION A thick layer of closed cell silicone foam rubber. Standard OUTER BRAID Black polyamide sleeve braiding. Standard END CAPS Moulded silicone rubber caps are used exclusively. Standard VOLTAGE To customers requirements. ELECTRICAL The temperature sensing and the heating wires are standard. Additional wires, and/or tubes, can be incorporated in the build up, as necessary, to control customers operation or to feed additional equipment.
