D W Plastics Takes Part in Shine Charity Balloon Race in Memory of Sue

D W Plastics is proud to support the Shine charity balloon race once again, with the race set to launch on September 1, 2025. This virtual event helps raise awareness and support for families affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus.

We’ve entered four balloons this year, all in blue to match our company colours. It’s a meaningful tradition for us – one started by our late Managing Director, Sue Burley, who supported Shine’s annual race with great enthusiasm.

“We would like to remember our blessed Managing Director, Sue Burley,” said Joanna Xenopoulos, Finance Manager at D W Plastics.

“Taking part is our way of continuing something she cared deeply about.”

D W Plastics has a long-standing commitment to supporting local charities and causes. Over the past year, we’ve contributed to Tangmere Primary School to help fund books and educational materials, supported the Chichester Dragon Boat Race, and made donations via JustGiving in memory of Sue.

We invite friends, customers, and members of the community to get involved and show support. The more visitors to the Shine Balloon Race website, the further our balloons will fly!
