D W Plastics is proud to continue our support for the annual Rotary Club Dragon Boat racing event at the Chichester Canal. This year’s race took place on Sunday, 22 June, and once again brought together teams, supporters, and spectators for a fantastic day of community fundraising.
We were delighted to support The Teak Men – Synthetic Teak Specialists – who delivered an outstanding performance and secured first place in the competition. The team, made up of local businesses, friends, and supporters, demonstrated great teamwork, determination, and energy throughout the event.
The Dragon Boat Race, organised by the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory, has been a key event on the Chichester calendar since 2012. Over the years, it has raised more than £70,000 for local charities. This year, funds raised went towards CancerWise and other Rotary-supported organisations that benefit youth groups, schools, clubs for the disabled, local hospices, and services supporting vulnerable people across the community.
The Teak Men shared ahead of the event: “Here we go again! On Sunday 22nd June, we’ll be taking part in the Chichester Dragon Boat Race to raise money for local charities. Last year we raised just shy of £4,000 and had an amazing time. We’re hoping for some sunshine and look forward to seeing everyone there.”
