Working at Heights with Ladders is a CSS Worksafe training course developed to improve knowledge, competence and safer working practices.

Aims & Objectives: The Course is specifically designed for any person who is involved with working at height and specifically from ladders. The course will provide an understanding in and use of related height safety equipment and techniques.

Suitability: Operatives/Engineers.

Requirements: Students should be physically fit.

Syllabus: Introduction. Problems Associated with Safe Working at Heights. Legislation. Employers Responsibilities. Employees Responsibilities. Fall Arrest Equipment Introduction. Safe use of Ladders. Fixings & Anchorages. Ladder Fall Protection System.

Maintenance & Checking of Equipment. Donning a Safety Harness. Safe Use of Associated Equipment. Cleaning & Storage. Practical Demonstration. Self Rescue Procedure. Multiple Choice Test. Review & Question Time. Notes. Fully Comprehensive notes will be given to all delegates who attend the course.

Certification: On satisfactory completion of the course a certificate of competence will be issued that will be valid for 3 years.
