Racking Inspection is a CSS Worksafe training course developed to improve knowledge, competence and safer working practices.
Aims & Objectives: Pallet racking is classed as "work equipment" and is therefore subject to regular inspection under current Health and Safety Legislation. It is the employer's duty to provide a safe environment according to the following statutory regulations: Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 Section 2.
Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992. Provision and use of Work Equipment Regulations 5 and 6 1998. Health and Safety in Retail and Wholesale Warehouses HS(G)76.
Suitability: Operatives/Engineers.
Requirements: Students should be physically fit.
Syllabus: Legislation. Accidents. Inspections for damage. Inspection documentation. Load Notices.
Alterations. Load and Aisle clearances. Accessories. Notes. Fully Comprehensive notes will be given to all delegates who attend the course.
Certification: On satisfactory completion of the course a certificate of competence will be issued that will be valid for 3 years.
