Manual Handling is a CSS Worksafe training course developed to improve knowledge, competence and safer working practices.
Aims & Objectives: The Course provides an insight into the risks associated with moving & handling and teaches safer lifting & carrying techniques.
Suitability: All personnel.
Requirements: Students should be physically fit.
Syllabus: The Law relating to Manual Handling, roles & responsibilities & relevant Health & Safety information. Spinal anatomy, structure & function.
Causes of back pain & other handling related injuries. Risk.
Assessment: . Safer lifting techniques Team handling .
Question paper. Notes. Fully Comprehensive notes will be given to all delegates who attend the course.
Certification: On satisfactory completion of the course a certificate of competence will be issued that will be valid for 3 years.
