You Won’t Find Us On Facebook
Following our recent blog post on the subject of Social Networking, we have been reviewing our social network presence, and have taken the decision to withdraw the BSA Marketing Facebook page. As discussed in the post, the Social networks on which you focus should be driven by your customer base, and focused on those you are looking to target. Our customers tend to deal with us in the line of their business, and as such our activities have little relevance to them in their social & personal lives (the main focus of Facebook users). As a result there was always the danger that we would put resources into a Facebook presence that was not delivering any real benefit to us or our customers. There are a couple of points that are worth noting here: 1. Although Facebook can be a great marketing tool, this is only true when it meets your marketing objectives in terms of your target market 2. You should always be reviewing your marketing activities and withdrawing from ones that are not delivering value in favour of those that are 3. Always focus on your marketing objectives & remember your target market when making decisions about where to expend your resources Finally, although BSA no longer have a presence on Facebook, you can still follow us on Twitter and keep up to date with what we are up to via LinkedIn.
