Industrial packaging now available in PCR from Berry M&H

We are pleased to be able to offer 35% Post-Consumer Recycled Polyetherlyne (PCR) material in our 20L Europack canister (code: UKI-S203) and our 5L Compact Jerry Can (code: UKI-RT510). These are the first steps using PCR material for industrial, commercial, and household products for Berry M&H. We have sourced our PCR from a reliable supply so we know that we will be able to meet our customers’ needs. These products are being manufactured in the UK at Berry M&H’s UKI facilities. Given the added complexity of PCR used in the commercial sector, we wanted to be comfortable that our offering at the right recyclate percentage levels should perform consistently. With this in mind, our technical team at UKI put the packaging material through significant testing processes. Ensuring that our products are robust enough to safeguard the integrity of the products within, whilst using PCR material was key to the development of these items and making ‘future-ready’. Importantly, the introduction of PCR has been achieved while maintaining the containers’ robustness and durability that provides reliable long-term protection and stability for products and easy handling for the end user. Given the nature of the industrial ingredients going into our packaging, while we have completed these exacting tests it is important to note that customers are responsible for their own product compatibility with our products.
