AP Technologies to Exhibit at WWEM/AQE and Photonics UK – September 2025
September will be a busy month for AP Technologies as we prepare to attend two important UK industry events. These exhibitions provide a great opportunity to connect with engineers, researchers and system developers who are working with advanced sensing and photonics technologies.
Visitors are invited to stop by, discuss their latest projects and learn how modern photonics components can help solve real-world measurement and instrumentation challenges.
Our approach remains focused on delivering compact, energy-efficient and highly reliable optical components and modules that support demanding applications without sacrificing performance.
WWEM & AQE – NEC Birmingham (17–18 September)
Our first event takes place at the Water, Wastewater and Environmental Monitoring (WWEM) and Air Quality & Emissions (AQE) exhibition, held at the NEC in Birmingham.
If you are developing solutions for environmental monitoring or analytical instrumentation, we invite you to visit stand WW S52 to explore technologies designed for accurate measurement outside the laboratory.
Environmental sensing often requires instruments that can perform reliably in harsh conditions. At the show we will demonstrate components and modules that help engineers build systems capable of delivering dependable data in real-world environments.
Featured technologies on the stand
LED solutions
We will present a wide selection of LEDs from leading manufacturers including Opto Diode Corporation, Sensor Electronic Technology (SET), Seoul Viosys and Epigap-OSA. These devices cover wavelengths ranging from deep ultraviolet through to the mid-infrared region.
A highlight will be the latest UVC LEDs from Silanna UV, designed for applications such as water analysis and chemical-free disinfection. These devices deliver around 2% wall-plug efficiency at 235 nm, a wavelength particularly effective for germicidal processes.
Modular LED light sources
For engineers looking for stable and adaptable light sources, the LumeDEL fibre-coupled LED instruments provide a compact and energy-efficient option suitable for spectroscopy systems and commercial instrumentation.
We will also showcase high-power illumination systems from Adaptive Lighting, including line lights, area illuminators and ring lights available in multiple wavelength combinations.
Spectrometers and detectors
AP Technologies will also highlight a range of optical detection technologies designed for reliable field measurements.
-
Compact spectrometers from OtO Photonics, covering wavelengths from 180 nm to 2500 nm, offer high performance in small, rugged packages suitable for both laboratory and field use.
-
Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPMs) from Broadcom provide a durable, low-voltage alternative to traditional photomultiplier tubes for portable radiation detection systems.
Mid-infrared detectors
For emission monitoring and analytical sensing applications, we will display lead sulphide (PbS) and lead selenide (PbSe) detectors from Opto Diode. These detectors operate across 1–5.5 µm wavelengths and are available in multiple packaging formats including hermetic and cooled configurations with different window and filter options.
Photonics UK – Excel London (24–25 September)
The following week, our team will move to Photonics UK at the Excel Exhibition Centre in London, where we will be located at stand C26.
This event focuses on photonics technologies used in industrial automation, sensing and advanced instrumentation. In addition to the technologies presented at WWEM/AQE, we will also demonstrate solutions designed for emerging sensing and robotics applications.
Time-of-Flight sensing technology
One of the highlights will be Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensing modules from Broadcom. These fully integrated modules include the laser emitter, optics and processing electronics in a single calibrated unit.
Such modules simplify the integration of accurate 3D sensing into systems such as robotics, drones and automated equipment, eliminating the need to design complex optical assemblies from scratch.
Meet the experts
At both exhibitions, representatives from Silanna UV and OtO Photonics will be present on the AP Technologies stand to discuss their technologies in detail and answer technical questions.
If you are planning to attend either show, we encourage you to arrange a meeting in advance so we can explore your application requirements and identify suitable solutions.
Whether your focus is environmental monitoring, industrial sensing or automation, our aim is to help developers build more capable and reliable optical instruments using carefully selected photonics components.
We look forward to welcoming you at WWEM/AQE in Birmingham or Photonics UK in London.
