Dufaylite panels in Mirror Maze

TECHNIQUEST MIRROR MAZE Dufaylite honeycomb panels have been used in the construction of a mirror maze at Techniquest, the new visitor centre in Cardiff. One of the main aims of Techniquest, billed as “The UK’s most visited Science Discovery Centre”, is to provide a fun and interactive introduction to science, where children get involved in exhibits and experiments. Dr Alan Syrop of Techniquest was looking for panels to support the large mirrors which make up the maze. They had to be flat and rigid to give a good surface to bond the mirrors to, while being light enough to make the panels easy to dismount and reassemble. “ The Dufaylite panels are just what we needed to fit these requirements “, commented Dr Syrop. Furthermore, he observed that, since installation, the mirror maze has proved a popular part of the tour, with many young visitors making a bee-line for it as soon as they arrive.
