Welding qualifications are used as a ‘quality tool’ within the fabrication industry to assist in meeting the quality requirements of relevant product standards and legal aspects of directives. Zurich’s laboratory services are able to deliver an unrivalled level of service for the witnessing, testing and certification of welding qualifications. Materials testing and metallurgical services* Materials testing is essential for reasons such as quality control measure, product standard requirements or even a complete re-certification of a material. Our material technologists are on hand to discuss any of your testing or failure investigation requirements. Our laboratory is UKAS accredited for a range of tests. Welding engineering and consultancy Our qualified welding engineers can identify specific contract and product standard requirements and can help in developing the necessary welding qualification testing programmes. We can also assist in satisfying the requirements for authorised welding co-ordinators for particular contracts. The laboratory, which is based in West Bromwich in the West Midlands, holds UKAS accreditation for a wide range of mechanical, metallurgical, corrosion and chemical analysis. Failure analysis is also provided to determine the cause of failure of various items of plant and equipment.
