COLDSTOP SMART tackles a key challenge in cryogenic gas systems: the danger of extremely low temperatures in the pipework downstream of the vaporiser, which can lead to brittle fractures in mild and carbon steel components. Unlike conventional mechanical switches, which rely on less accurate bi-metallic strips, COLDSTOP SMART features integrated digital technology combining WITT’s dome-loaded pressure regulator, solenoid valves, and a control unit. It halts gas flow as soon as the temperature drops below a defined setpoint, and automatically resumes once safe conditions are restored. This ensures reliable protection in line with EIGA, CGA, and AIGA standards for cryogenic vaporisation systems.

With its class-leading pressure control and precise automatic shut-off at critical temperatures, COLDSTOP SMART significantly improves operational safety. The system is also designed for remote monitoring and easy customisation. It delivers real-time data on flow, pressure, and temperature via 4–20 mA signals and RS485 communication—ideal for integration with cryogenic tank telemetry systems. Operators can configure alerts and responses, such as triggering alarms or engaging additional vaporiser capacity, offering complete oversight and control.
