Next generation electronic gas mixers - Easy to integrate

The latest iteration of Witt's MEM+ gas mixer series prioritises connectivity above all else. With a selection of seven interfaces available, seamless integration into existing systems like packaging machines or laser welding machines is effortless. As expected from the global market leader, these new gas mixers deliver precise and consistent results, ensuring optimal outcomes for your processes.

Featuring Analogue 4-20 mA, Ethernet, CanBus, and OPC UA as standard interfaces, with optional Profinet, RS232, or analogue 0-10V, the MEM+ offers users a wide array of communication and control options. These gas mixers can be operated remotely via a PC, PLC, or machine controller, allowing for convenient querying, setting, and documentation of parameters. Direct operation on the device is also intuitive, thanks to its touchscreen interface and optimised menu navigation, enabling users to select pre-defined mixtures quickly.

The MEM+ series provides modern gas mixing systems for two to three non-flammable gases such as N2, CO2, or O2. Inside, motorised proportional valves operate electronically, enabling precise mixture adjustment in increments of 0.1 per cent with extremely short reaction times. Typically, the desired gas mixture is achieved in less than three seconds over the entire proportioning range of 0-100%, with an accuracy of better than ±1% absolute.

Various features ensure high accuracy and long-term mixture stability, enhancing process reliability. Pressure equalisation renders the gas mixers insensitive to pressure fluctuations in gas supply pressures. Continuous monitoring of inlet pressures by pressure transmitters triggers an alarm if pressure is too low. Additionally, a potential-free contact can halt the entire machine in case of issues. Fluctuating flowrates or intermittent flows are handled with ease thanks to the buffer tank. For added safety, the mixer can be paired with a gas analyser for continuous monitoring and documentation of gas mixture generation.

The MEM+ series offers models with different mixed gas outputs to suit various gas requirements. With a maximum inlet pressure of 20 bar and maximum outlet pressure of 10 bar, these devices are versatile and adaptable. Moreover, 3-gas mixers can generate 2-gas mixtures if needed. Encased in splash-proof housings made of brushed stainless steel, these devices are robust and durable, ensuring longevity and reliability.
