Leister WELDPLAST S1 120V Compact Digital Plastic Welding Extruder The LEISTER WELDPLAST S1 120v digital extruder is one of the most versatile plastic welding extruders on the market. It's compact, at only 435mm long, and weighs only 4.7kg - the lightest digital extruder in Leister's stable, and only beaten by the Fusion 1 - Leister's lightest extruder but this is not as feature rich nor as versatile as the WELDPLAST S1. The 120V version is ideally suited for site work. The WELDPLAST S1 can weld the largest range of material in the entire Leister extruder range: - HD-PE, LD-PE, PP, PVC-U, PVC-C, PVDF, ECTFE and PA and has integrated welding profiles built in for HD-PE, PP, PVC-U, PVC-C and PVDF plus 10 free profile storage spaces for specific custom settings.? It can also handle 3mm and 4mm welding rod, with output up to 0.8kg/h (1.15kg/h for PVC) - all of this in a package 435 x 91 x 264mm in size. This compact size and well balanced design lends itself to being used primarily with one hand rather than two, a useful factor when many fabrication tasks often require work in small and dark spaces. After two years in development the Weldplast S1 has shed a significant 1.1kg in weight lighter than the larger S2, and is well balanced by the virtue of the centralised hand grip. For working in tight corners and for lighting up darker areas the S1 introduces an LED lighting system at the front of the extruder. The WELDPLAST S1 120V ensures reproducible results and efficiency enabling the operator to set and control welding parameters for a diversity of different materials including PE, PP, PVC, PA and PVDF, providing variable and adjustable controls of temperature and blower speeds independently of each other.? ?
