Change in the Executive Board of the Weidmüller Group
Jörg Timmermann will take over as Chief Financial Officer of the Detmold-based Weidmüller Group on 1 January 2016 Detmold, 1 December 2015. Jörg Timmermann (44) will take over as Chief Financial Officer of the Detmold-based Weidmüller Group on 1 January 2016. He is to succeed Harald Vogelsang (53) who is leaving the company at his own request to take up a new position at Körber AG in Hamburg from 1 April 2016. Körber AG is the holding company for an international technology group with 12,000 employees around the world. Mr. Vogelsang will assume the role of Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Executive Board, the Supervisory Board and the shareholders extend their thanks to Mr Vogelsang for his many years of service to the company. His strong commitment and the many initiatives he was responsible for contributed greatly to the success of the Weidmüller Group. Jörg Timmermann joins us from the GEA Group where, as Vice-President and CFO for the GEA Mechanical Equipment segment, he was responsible for the areas of financial controlling, accounting, IT, legal affairs, purchasing and foreign, as well as for South-East Asia, since 2011. Recently, he worked as Vice-President and CFO of one of the two newly formed GEA business areas, the GEA Equipment business area. Previously, Jörg Timmermann headed up Group Financial Controlling Jörg Timmermann is a qualified banker. He studied Business Administration at Münster University and at the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside in Hull, UK and completed his auditing exams and the Global Business Consortium at the London Business School. Jörg Timmermann was born in Westphalia, is married and has one daughter and lives with his family in Dortmund.
