Walkden Metals is a family run business, which was established in 1974. The business is managed by Mr Andy Hobson and David Hobson, whose father Mr Brian Hobson originally founded the company back in the early 1970’s from his previous demolition business. We are Registered Waste Carriers situated in Farnworth, Greater Manchester in our purpose-built facility. We have served the local area’s of Salford and Bolton for over four decades, recycling Non-ferrous metals, Skip Collections and Waste Metal Management. The Business has invested over £1 million pounds in a new Depot and new machinery to keep pace with changing legislation and to help increase productivity, enabling us to recycle more of the raw material. Our newly developed site is part of our business improvement plan, with a 40-Tonne weigh-bridge. This growth is part of the ongoing investment plan for the family.
