Bricklaying skills celebrate Platinum Jubilee

Once again, W H Collier are proud to have sponsored the Suffolk Skills Brickwork competition at the Suffolk Show. As always the standard of work shown by the students at the two colleges was outstanding! Well done to all who took part. W H Collier Ltd supplied handmade bricks for the competition which was based around this year’s Suffolk Show theme, The Queens Platinum Jubilee. The students had two days to construct a concave wall from a plan depicting a castle We supplied W H Collier Georgian Red (Main body of the castle) and W H Collier Primula Yellow (Detail) and College Blend Dark (bricks on edge). The winners this year were Ryan Austin and Ryan Cook from Suffolk New College, runners-up Josh Sturman and Tom Taylor of West Suffolk College.
