As 2025 comes to a close, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the year’s milestones and share a glimpse of what’s ahead for Unitemp. It’s been a year of steady growth, innovation, and laying the foundations for new services that will benefit our customers in 2026 and beyond.
Demand, Growth, and Industry Developments
Throughout 2025, Unitemp has seen strong demand across the full range of ESPEC environmental test chambers, as customers seek reliable solutions for diverse testing requirements. Interest in secondary battery testing chambers remains strong, while demand from the aerospace and defence sectors has accelerated. This increased interest is reflected in the addition of over 500 new leads to our database over the past couple of months, helping us connect with more potential customers than ever.
Part of this growth has been supported by improvements to our website, which now better showcases our capabilities and product range, making it easier for customers to discover and engage with Unitemp.
As the year draws to a close, we are preparing to deliver a significant number of AR series test chamber orders, marking a highlight at the end of a busy year. The AR chambers offer lower temperature capabilities (down to –75°C) and larger volumes at a lower cost than Platinous models, making them an ideal solution for customers with demanding testing requirements. The AR systems also address strict compliance requirements for defence electronics, ensuring full adherence to component origin standards.
Like many in the industry, Unitemp has navigated extended production times earlier this year due to POPS Geneva regulatory compliance. While this temporarily affected delivery schedules for some orders, we have worked closely with customers to maintain access to equipment and ensure timely testing wherever possible.
Alongside these orders, we have maintained a careful balance between equipment sales and environmental test chamber rentals, ensuring flexibility for customers who need either long-term solutions or short-term testing options.
Looking Ahead To 2026: What’s Happening
Exciting developments are on the horizon for 2026. We are transforming some of our spare facility space into a mini test lab, designed to make environmental testing more accessible for new customers.
The lab will offer two flexible options:
- Self-service: Customers can come in and conduct their own testing using our equipment.
- Full service: Customers can submit a small batch of boards or products, and Unitemp will perform the testing on their behalf.
New chambers, including AR chambers, thermal shock, and Platinous units, will be installed, allowing rapid testing for urgent requirements. This initiative not only enhances our service offering but also positions Unitemp as a go-to expert in environmental testing, providing both equipment and expertise.
We are gearing up for the Southern Manufacturing Show in February 2026, with a focus on the aerospace and electronics sectors. Our team will be showcasing our capabilities, including benchtop chamber demonstrations, and connecting with potential customers to share the benefits of our expanded services.
Moving Forward
2025 has set the stage for a strong start to 2026. With new orders, an updated website, and the upcoming test lab, Unitemp is ready to continue providing flexible, reliable, and innovative testing solutions. We look forward to supporting our customers’ needs in the coming year and helping them achieve their testing goals efficiently and effectively.
