In 2005 Trade Windows Direct, part of the Torquay based Framework Group moved into North Devon. Bill Pyke was head hunted to set up and run the Roundswell Trade Counter in Barnstaple. Unfortunately after only eight months the Framework Group went into administration making all the staff redundant. After a weekend of very little sleep and a lot of soul searching, Bill and his wife Pauline made the decision to take over the Barnstaple Trade Counter and forming the new company “Trade Windows North Devon Ltd” in August 2006. ​ With lots of hard work and sacrifices the company steadily grew and in 2008 were runners up in the “new category” in the FSB Devon Business Awards and has steadily grown year upon year to this day, now employing a workforce of ten and becoming one of the most successful North Devon based companies around.
