‘Vertical 4.0’ – Striebig Scores With Cutting Optimisation
Swiss vertical panel saw specialist, Striebig will be showcasing its innovative ‘Vertical 4.0 Solutions’ at Europe’s biggest woodworking machinery and tools trade fair, Ligna, this May in Hall 12, stand B40. Whether you’re looking to optimise your work processes, lessen waste or maintain a consistent and accurate flow of data from preparation through to sawing, Striebig has a solution. The company will be demonstrating its new and innovative vertical cut-to-size technology solutions – including its first ever retro-fittable software package – at the five-day event in Hannover. STRIEBIG’S PANEL OPTIMISATION PROGRAMME ON DISPLAY Visitors will be able to experience Striebig’s retro-fittable panel optimisation programme, OptiDivide on its 20m x 11m stand. OptiDivide allows existing Striebig vertical panel saw users to benefit from the intelligent software solution. Including an integrated 12” touchscreen computer, fully installed with the latest optimisation software, a WLAN network connection and a label printer, OptiDivide can quickly and efficiently calculate the most effective cutting strategy for each panel, maximising your time and substantially reducing material waste. The system can also be connected to the Wi-Fi, allowing panel sizes to be sent to the machine quickly, reducing errors on even the most challenging of panels or during strip cutting work. New retrofittable OptiDivide cutting optimisation software STRIEBIG BASECUT AND EXPERTCUT The introduction of BaseCut CON and ExpertCut CON, which are specially tailored to the new ‘Control’ model, provide even more options for Striebig users. For base cuts and expert cuts, the ‘Control’ is equipped with an EPS.x electronic positioning system and ASP automatic saw beam positioning as standard, but the systems are differentiated by the scope of the respective software package. ExpertCut is the ideal system for ‘Vertical 4.0’. The software is installed on the user’s workstation and records for cutting optimisation are imported from standard market ERP, CAD systems or CSV-format Excel files. The user can also process and manage orders, materials and part lists using the same software and transfer fully optimised cutting plans directly to the saw through the network connection (LAN and WLAN). Both products guarantee visualisation and operator guidance using the saw’s 12” touchscreen computer and label printing from a printer that is mounted on the saw. STRIEBIG’S FLEXIBLE SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS Matt Pearce, Managing Director of Striebig’s exclusive UK distributor, TM Machinery adds, “These flexible software solutions are leading the way in vertical panel saw cutting optimisation in Europe. The technology has already been successfully integrated into Striebig’s top-of-the-range ‘4D’ model for five years but its retro-fittable OptiDivide software can now benefit every Striebig user, regardless of the make or model. With the introduction of the new BaseCut and ExpertCut for the current ‘Control’ model, Striebig now covers all available machine types with a cutting optimisation solution.” Keen to find out more?
