OFFICE EXTENSION PROJECT

Our lovely client wished to integrate a new office/workshop for their engineering consultancy work into the existing, traditionally built brick office adjoining their home. For reasons of aesthetics and planning they wished for a timber boarded insulated building which they were later to stain. They wished for a clear open span for the laboratory working and only a steel framed solution would suffice. They chose 3CB to undertake the entire project including concept design, groundworks, building and construction along with the timber over cladding using our cold rolled framing technology. This was ideally suited to the limited access and meant that heavy lifting cranes were not required for construction - as would have been the case had the building been of a traditional hot rolled design. As the pictures show access was tight and the integration proved challenging but thanks to our detail design work the integration went extremely well.
