Cheque usage continues to be a feature of the Education sector, whether issued as a payment for goods or services, or in receipt of payments for courses, trips, ancillary services etc. The use of automated cheque imaging, building a searchable archive for all record keeping and reconciliation, is increasingly popular amongst schools, colleges and universities. The introduction of image based cheque clearing in the UK, in the Autumn of 2017, will see the Checkprint Banking Assistant fully integrated to the UK Cheque Clearings, reducing the cost of cheque deposits, as no visit to the bank branch will be required for organisations participating in Remote Deposit Capture, by agreement with their bank.
