The Coretex Group, a leading supplier of Honeycomb Cores and Lightweight Structural Panels, are pleased to announce the launch of their High Volume Panel Production service. Geoff Layland, Managing Director, commented, ”We have seen the arrival of many low cost composite panels from the Far East, and whilst we welcome the competition, our clients tell us that the products are usually of inferior or variable quality, with long lead times (7 – 12 weeks), large minimum order quantities, prepayment terms - and when problems arise, the backup and support seems to drift away. Also the issue of low carbon design and reduced transport mileage is being increasingly requested from our UK clients for larger panel projects. He further stated, “As we have been receiving more and more calls from clients looking for a local supply of high quality large volume lightweight structural panels, we decided to launch the HVPP service. Products are made to the clients’ specification and manufactured from the most cost effective materials available, with good technical backup, highly competitive prices and sensible payment terms - and all from the UK. We can also offer a prototype and sample service.” “The product range we typically supply will have a panel core of Aluminium Honeycomb, Polypropylene Honeycomb, Expanded and Extruded Polystyrene Foam, Polyurethane and PIR Foams. Panel skins would be Aluminium, Steel, GRP, HPL, MDF, Plywood, etc. Panel sizes are typically 1250mm x 2500mm and 1500mm x 3000mm but we can make larger on request. We are very adaptable and happy to look at any panel lamination design. To be cost effective, our HVPP process would typically need a minimum order run quantity of about 500sqm – but we know there is a market for this based on the enquiries we have received over the last 6 months alone” The Coretex Group has been helping clients reduce product weight and innovate lightweight design for over 20 years.
