THE ACE GROUP: MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING

Since 1990, when the very first event was held, the annual Macmillan coffee mornings have become an institution across the UK, raising an amazing £290 million to assist Macmillan Cancer Support in their work to help people living with cancer. We’re joining in this year at the ACE Group, together with our Gardner Denver and Ingersoll Rand partners at our sites across the UK. Our objective is to raise vital funds to support the Macmillan work. Appropriately, this year’s headline partner for the event is M&S Food! On 24th September we’ll down tools and pick up our coffee cups as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility programme, and we’re inviting our customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to take part with us. We’ll all be bringing in baked goods and encouraging donations to ensure we help to swell the funds this year, and ACE Group will be adding to the totals raised to help ensure the valuable Macmillan work continues. It’s a great opportunity for catching up with colleagues and enjoying a restorative cuppa with maybe a slice of cake too – and we’ll know that our efforts are making a contribution to helping people with cancer to live life as fully as possible.
