Soprema Completes Extruded Membrane Range with Flagon SB Fleece-backed Membrane

Soprema UK, the specialist in waterproofing and building envelope solutions, has completed its Flagon extruded single ply range with the launch of Flagon SB: a fleece-backed extruded roofing membrane. Five times faster to manufacture than conventional cast synthetic roofing membranes, the Flagon range is produced in wider 2.1m rolls, reducing the number of laps for faster installation, improved roof integrity and reduced risk. Created following extensive in-house product development, Flagon SB is the fleece-backed product within Soprema’s extruded synthetic membrane range, providing a fully-bonded single ply solution for roof structures. The new product joins Flagon SR, a mechanically-fixed polyester reinforced membrane, and Flagon SV, a glass reinforced bonded membrane. The range offers specifiers a choice of robust extruded membranes for any application, backed by Soprema’s technical support and industry-leading warranties. Just 1.5mm thick with a 300g fleece backing, Flagon SB can be fully bonded to the substrate or the insulation. The lack of mechanical fixings prevents any risk of thermal bridging through fixings and, when used as part of a complete roof build-up solution, along with Soprema’s technical support, Flagon SB is BBA approved for a service life of 35 years.
