When replacing a thermal fuse it is important not to heat up the thermal fuse or this can damage the organic compound inside the thermal fuse and cause early failure of the fuse. The best way to assemble this is to cut out the old fuse and cleat the new one in place of this. If cleating is not possible a suitable terminal block is a good alternative.
