Their engineering team are technology enthusiasts, who are looking for a likeminded Scala evangelist to join the team and contribute towards the development of the flagship consumer platform. The role You’ll be working to understand, solve and improve complex problems to ensure the platform is cutting edge and customer centric. Along with this, you’ll use your functional programming skills to collaborate with the team and continuously work towards building a resilient, scalable application. The skillset Ability to write high quality, clean Scala code Utilising Play and Akka frameworks to build applications Understanding and implementation of test driven development methodologies Professional experience with NoSQL databases e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra In-depth understanding of API design principles and best practices
