Asbestos Management Survey

Health and safety at work regulations requires employers to manage the risks from asbestos to their employees. However, without an asbestos survey it cannot be demonstrated that the risks have been understood. Therefore a Management Survey should be carried out for all workplaces built prior to ~2000, when all asbestos products were finally banned from construction. So in addition to commercial and industrial properties this will include some areas of rental properties within which employees work. This type of survey is not fully intrusive as it is based on the building remaining generally as it is without major refurbishment (for which there is a separate type of survey) but does include a risk assessment for which the condition of any potential Asbestos Containing Materials is considered.
