Water Softening & Treatment for Humidification Systems

For hygiene and efficiency, every Sealpump humidification system is supplied with the right level of water treatment. Depending on your application, mains water can be processed through in-line filters, ultraviolet (UV) disinfection, water softening, reverse osmosis (RO) and optional online disinfection. This ensures maximum reliability, performance and hygiene at all times.

Filtration Unit

Filtration Unit

A pre-piped assembly with an in-line water filter, pressure gauge and water meter prevents suspended solids from entering the humidification system. It provides coarse filtration (cleanable by backwashing) followed by fine filtration for dependable protection.

UV & Filter Plate

Supplied fully assembled and pre-piped, this unit includes two in-line filters—50-micron and 5-micron—plus a UV disinfection module with interface unit. UV exposure inactivates waterborne bacteria and other microorganisms without adding chemicals.

Water Softener

Installed upstream of standard filtration, the softener prevents scale on system components and atomiser heads. Using ion exchange, dissolved calcium and magnesium ions are replaced with sodium ions, reducing hardness to 0°dH and protecting your equipment.

Treatment packages are tailored to individual site requirements.

Reverse Osmosis Unit

RO demineralises water and is essential where minerals must be excluded (e.g., printing or painting). Filtered, softened water is forced through a semi-permeable membrane to produce high-purity water; residues are flushed to drain. RO also removes bacteria, particles and dissolved organics.
Units with different litre-per-hour capacities are sized to your project and can also serve process water demands (e.g., printing machines).

Disinfection Options

Selective (UV) Disinfection

Softened or RO water passes under a UV lamp, rendering bacteria and viruses harmless.

Online Disinfection

A continuous, low-dose solution (e.g., chlorine dioxide) is metered into the system so the entire circuit—from feed water to atomiser nozzles—remains hygienic automatically. Ideal for peace of mind and the highest hygiene standards.
