Remsol Limited, a specialist waste and environmental management firm, is set to offer eligible businesses free environmental awareness training for up to 10 delegates per company. The IOSH training ‘Working with Environmental Responsibilities’ normally costs between £200 and £250 per person and delegates that successfully complete the course are awarded a recognised, transferable qualification. Remsol’s managing director, Lee Petts, is looking forward to rolling-out the scheme The scheme is aimed primarily at SME manufacturing, packaging and distribution companies in. To qualify, businesses must sign-up to a 12 month contract for Remsol’s outsourced waste management services and have a minimum annual waste disposal and recycling expenditure that exceeds £15,000. In return, companies taking advantage of this unique opportunity will benefit not only from streamlined waste management practices and associated cost savings delivered by Remsol’s expert team, but will also see up to 10 of their staff gain the additional skills and broader environmental awareness needed to help them to continue delivering environmental improvements long after the association with Remsol has ended. “Waste is often overlooked by businesses when seeking cost reductions, and yet can provide a ready source of savings if you know how to recognise and extract them,” points out Lee.
