Rectangular ATEX Electric Heater Battery for Hazardous Areas.

VEAB’s rectangular ATEX-approved electric heater battery range is designed for safe and efficient air heating in hazardous environments such as Zone 1 and Zone 2, where explosive gases or vapours may occasionally occur. With outputs up to 1000 kW, these heaters are ideal for duct systems, air handling units, and industrial processes in the offshore, chemical, oil, and marine sectors.

Constructed from durable stainless steel (EN 1.4301) or acid-resistant stainless steel (EN 1.4404), the heaters offer IP66 protection and comply with EN 60529 standards. The tubular heating elements are available in stainless steel or Incoloy (800/825) for maximum corrosion resistance and reliability. Models like the VFL2-Ex feature removable heating magazines for easy maintenance without dismantling duct sections.

The VRA2-EX Explosion-proof heater battery for AHUs is designed to slide into AHUs. Fabricated to perfectly suit your application the design features a casing that can be either completely built to be contained within the skins of the AHU so that the access plate to the ternminal box is flush with the side of the AHU, or the case can be oversize to ensure that there is no disruption to the air passage in the AHU and the terminal box would sit proud of the AHU outer skin.
