VRA range of electric heater batteries.

The VRA range of electric heater batteries are flush sided and designed to be neatly housed in air handling units. The dimensons of the VRA heater battery can be specified so that the terminal box cover is flush with the outer skin of the air handling unit, in which case the terminal box would partly intrude on the air passage through the AHU. Alternatively the unit can be dimensioned so that the passageway for the air does not step in which means that the terminal box protrudes the outer skin of the air handling unit.

Control Unit – Integrated Regulator.

The integrated electronic regulator simplifies installation by reducing cabling, costs, and connection errors. It uses triac-based time-proportional (pulse/pause) control for precise, silent, and low-wear temperature regulation. For higher outputs, a step controller manages part of the load, while fine adjustment is maintained by the electronic feedback system. Hinged covers allow easy servicing.

Available Models with Integrated Regulator.

ViCi-QAL / ViCi-AL:

Controlled via 4–20 mA or 2–10 VDC/0–10 VDC signals. For PWM control, contact our office.

ViCi-QOL / ViCi-OL:

Controlled via one or two PT100, PT1000, or NTC sensors.

NTC: External setpoint adjustment.

PT100 / PT1000: Internal setpoint adjustment only.

Minimum/maximum inlet air temperatures are internally set.

Modbus: All models with integrated control can be monitored and controlled via Modbus.

External Regulator Option.

Model –M(L):

Duct heater designed for use with an external temperature regulator or thermostat. Full details of the range and how to create a model code are outlined in the brochure via the link below.

Materials: Casing available in stainless steel (EN 1.4301) or acid-resistant stainless steel (EN 1.4404).

Temperature Ranges:

51 °C – 120 °C: 25 mm insulated junction box.

121 °C – 400 °C: Acid-resistant casing, 100 mm insulation, air gap between duct and terminal box, IP30 protection.

Electrical Insulation: Heating elements mounted in insulating material to prevent leakage currents — suitable for marine environments.

Signal Lights: Indicate manual overheating protection and/or operation status.

Hoisting Rings: Optional for easier installation.

Protection Class: Available in IP55 or IP65 (standard IP43).

Standstill Heater: Optional for humid environments to prevent moisture or condensation in the terminal box.

Circular Connection: Rectangular duct heaters can be supplied with circular connections when larger diameters or outputs are needed.

Voltage Options:

Up to 3 × 690 V (external control)

Up to 3 × 500 V (integrated control)

Integrated Circuit Breaker: Available only on models with integrated control.
