Rectangular ATEX Electric Duct Heaters for Hazardous Areas.

VEAB’s rectangular ATEX-approved electric duct heaters are designed for safe and efficient air heating in hazardous environments such as Zone 1 and Zone 2, where explosive gases or vapours may occasionally occur. With outputs up to 1000 kW, these heaters are ideal for duct systems, air handling units, and industrial processes in the offshore, chemical, oil, and marine sectors.

Constructed from durable stainless steel (EN 1.4301) or acid-resistant stainless steel (EN 1.4404), the heaters offer IP66 protection and comply with EN 60529 standards. The tubular heating elements are available in stainless steel or Incoloy (800/825) for maximum corrosion resistance and reliability. Models like the VFL2-Ex feature removable heating magazines for easy maintenance without dismantling duct sections.

VFL2 ATEX electric duct heaters.

The VFL2 ATEX electric duct heater range features external duct connection flanges. The design retains the terminal box outside the duct so that the airflow through the ducting is as uninteripted as possible. The VFL2 EX units have the elements mounted on a removeable cassette, which means that the removal and maintainance of the elements does not require the disasembaly of the ducting.
