In winter HVLS fans are used for thermal destratification to take in the warm air under the ceiling and transport it to the floor level in a slow moving air flow pattern to create a better working environment and greatly reduce total energy consumption. In summer the fan speed can be increased and the uniform air movement provides perceived cooling for the building occupants. HVLS fans from Evel have low speed brushless motors with integrated inverter allowing for stepless speed control.
