The TFT ADS150/250/450 dessicant dehumidifier range.

Principle of Operation.

The dehumidifier uses two airflows:

Process air (main flow): the air to be dehumidified.

Regeneration air (smaller flow): used to dry the rotor.

A fan directs both air streams through a slowly rotating desiccant rotor impregnated with silica gel, which absorbs moisture from the process air. The dehumidified air is then delivered to the target area. The rotor operates in environments from -30°C to +40°C. Simultaneously, heated regeneration air (~100°C) flows in the opposite direction, removing moisture from the rotor and restoring its absorption capacity. This moist air is expelled outside.

Construction.

Frame: Made of galvanized and AISI 304 stainless steel.

Access: Top panel is removable for maintenance.

Ducting: Compatible with standard spiral ducts.

Fans.

Directly coupled to IP55, ISO F, class B motors (single or three-phase).

Accessible via the top panel.

Rotor.

Honeycomb structure with silica gel for high absorption in compact space.

Heat-resistant, non-flammable, and unaffected by fan failure or saturated air.

Mounted on ball bearings with a central steel shaft.

Transmission.

Belt-driven by a motor and reduction gearbox (6–12 rph).

Includes a tensioning system to prevent slippage.

Rotor movement visible via front access panel.

Regeneration Coil.

Electric PTC self-regulating coil maintains constant surface temperature.

Filters.

Two G2 filters: one each for process and regeneration air inlets.

Electrical Panel.

Complies with EU standards (73/23, 89/336).

Accessible from the top.

Includes main switch, ammeter, hour meter, external humidistat connector, and manual/auto dehumidification control.

Installation Notes.

Units lack thermal insulation—consider indoor vs. outdoor air differences to prevent condensation, icing, or electrical damage.
