AIRDRY AD 3500

The TFT AD 3000 - 6500 warehouse dehumidifier range.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION.

This warehouse dehumidifier range uses two opposing airflows: process air (to be dried) and regeneration air (to dry the rotor). Two fans drive these streams through a slowly rotating silica gel desiccant rotor. Moisture is absorbed from the process air and discharged as dry air.

Regeneration air is heated (about +100 °C above ambient) and passed in the opposite direction, releasing the rotor’s absorbed moisture as vapor. The system operates reliably from –30 °C to +40 °C, with continuous rotation driven by a motor, gearbox, and belt system.

STRUCTURE.

Galvanized steel insulated panels (optional AISI304 stainless).

Removable top/front panels for service access.

Standard spiral duct connections.

FANS.

Direct-coupled IP55, ISO F, class B motors (single or three phase).

Accessible only with safety panels removed.

Fixed speed as standard; optional variable speed via frequency converter.

ROTOR.

Heat-resistant honeycomb structure with silica gel desiccant.

High absorption surface in compact volume.

Tolerates saturated air, fan stoppages, and pre-cooling coils.

Non-combustible and non-flammable.

TRANSMISSION.

Belt drive at 6–12 rph, powered by motor and reduction gearbox.

Belt tensioning prevents slip; rotation visible for inspection.

Rotor on ball bearings around central shaft.

REGENERATION HEATING.

Electric: Steel elements in control banks; optional proportional power control.

Steam: Stainless steel tubes with aluminium fins, modulating valve for flow control.

FILTERS.

Two G4 filters (process and regeneration air); higher grades optional.

PLC CONTROL.

Touchscreen PLC manages temperature, sequencing, alarms, humidity control, and cooling/heating.

Compatible with humidistats, BMS systems, and MODBUS.

ELECTRICAL PANEL.

EU compliant (73/23, 89/336).

Top access, includes mains switch, thermal protection, relays, and terminals for remote ON/OFF and alarms.
